Class of 2024!

Third grade was able to learn from Disney plus Path of the Panther co-star and internationally known animal camera trapper, Malia Byrtus, on Earth Day. Stationed in California at the moment, Mrs. Byrtus took a little time to share how we can make a difference and help save the lives of endangered animals, like the Florida panther. Students did an AMAZING job during the Q& A time asking and learning how humans impact the living world around us.

Here are our final stats: 💲We raised just over $50,000!!!! for smart boards and playground updates. This will directly impact our students and staff! 🤯Our students completed thousands of minutes combined to help our school! 🥳We celebrated our community coming together and created unforgettable memories at our The NCLA Fun Run event. Next week we are going to Saddle Up and Celebrate our staff for Teacher Appreciation Week and we hope you will join us! Something as small as a thank you note to your teacher makes their day so much brighter! FCS has so many great things planned each day and we can’t wait to show you!

Here are a few reminders before your student(s) participate in the big event tomorrow: 😴Have your student(s) get a good night’s rest. 📣 Calling all world changers! 📣 TONIGHTS CHALLENGE: Get a pledge tonight (by 7:00 AM tomorrow) and get a FREE KONA ICE!!! Our school is raising $40,000 for smart boards and playground updates and we’re on our way! While our fundraiser is a BIG part of supporting students this year, our The NCLA Fun Run also includes amazing character enrichment through our character theme called, “World Changer Workshop”. Congratulations to the NCLA's Middle School Girls Soccer Team finishing first in the Mid-Piedmont Conference regular season! The Falcons finished as runner up in the Conference Tournament, losing a tough game 1-0 this past Friday! Great Season Ladies! #FalconsForward

NCLA's Middle School Golf Team finished first at the Mid-Piedmont Conference Tournament Match at Grandover Resort last week! NCLA's Caroline Linville finished in first place overall! Way to go Falcons!

Guess who brought home another trophy? Help us congratulate the NCLA Middle School Baseball team on an undefeated regular season and a Mid-Piedmont Conference Tournament Championship! Good luck to our 8th graders as they move on to even bigger things in high school! #FalconsForward

Congratulations to the Environmental Club - Earth Day winners- Cohen Bass, Oliver Cruz and Wyatt Pillen! They were awarded Chick Fil A gift cards by the Environmental Club. Over $1700 raised. All money will go towards updating recycling bins in MPR and new ones for the new bathroom, concession stand, and multi-use building on the soccer field.
