This weekend, the NCLA High School Choir received a SUPERIOR (the highest rating) at the Carowinds Festival of Music! This was the first time they have attended the competition, and they loved traveling with the High School Band, who also earned a superior rating!
In addition to this group's success, we also want to recognize a few outstanding individual achievements. Rebekah Franks was accepted into Governor’s School as an Alto 1, and Ella Lawrence was accepted into UNCSA.
We are super proud of all of these talented singers and Mrs. Odum for all of her hard work!

We would like to wish a HUGE congratulations to our HS Band for representing us so well at Carowinds this past weekend. All three judges scored them a 1 meaning they had an overall score of SUPERIOR! Great job to Mrs. Bartle and all of our wonderful band students! We could not be more proud!

Students in Mrs. Maggard's Spanish 1 classes recently researched a Spanish-speaking country and designed a Menu and a Food Truck that are true, authentic representations of the country with traditional foods, flavors, culture, and people.

This past weekend the NCLA band had 13 students attend the Piedmont honor band at Glenn High School. These students played for about ten hours with students from other schools and put on a concert at 6pm on Saturday. There was a concert band (6th grade), symphonic band (7-8th grade) and a wind ensemble (highschool). NCLA was represented in all three bands. These students are awesome!

The AP Environmental Science 🧫 students took a trip to the wastewater treatment plant in Winston to understand how the city cleans 🧼 and returns water 💧 back to the environment 🌎!

Please don't come before 9:00.
I actually suggest coming LATER as it seems everyone shows up right at the beginning.
Please don't allow your child to take a whole plateful of donuts. We have lots but want to make sure there are enough for all to enjoy.
