Adopt-a-Senior!! Families from any grade are invited to adopt-a-senior by writing them a supportive note and providing them with a gift bag with goodies (around $25). We will give you a list of the student's favorite snacks, etc. On the form, you will be able to indicate preferences like gender, college choice, specific person, etc. The gifts will need to be delivered to the HS front office by Friday, May 10. All seniors will receive their gifts at the same time after Senior awards.

Fisher Carter, one of NCLA's amazing 6th graders, has his own business!!! He came and served his donuts at the Day of the Arts and they were a hit! If you see him around, definitely try a few and support this young entrepreneur!!!

Thanks to all who participated in Day of the Arts. Despite a brisk wind, the sun kept it fun for all!

COLOR THE WORLD and partner with The NCLA's Spanish Honor Society and The Pulsera Project which provides sustainable, well-paying work opportunities for artisans in Nicaragua and Guatemala, most of whom make colorful hand-woven bracelets, or “pulseras” in Spanish. The project then creates a market for their artwork by partnering with schools across the U.S.
Pulseras will be sold for $5 during lunch until Friday, 4/19. 100% of the proceeds will be invested in a wide range of social impact programs in Nicaragua & Guatemala, including:
*Sustained employment for nearly 200 artists
*Secondary education programs
* University scholarships for artisans and their families
*Healthcare for artisans and their families
*A housing program for artisans and their families
*Environmental initiatives
*Support for other social enterprises doing impactful work in these countries

Sorry - not enough kids are signed up to have the night!
Bummer but all monies paid will be returned today in their backpack.

Looking for potential assistants for the 2024-2025 school year!

The class of 2024's senior gift is this amazing Falcon Mural that was created by Mrs Weikert over Spring Break with the help of Mr Weikert. So if you see Ms Weikert around, let her know how awesome it is.
The mural is located in the high school building. Riley Lemons (Photography 1 student) took this shot.
